Oh, you thought that was it for The Sandman, did you? Nope!
On Friday, Netflix announced the surprise release of two bonus episodes of the Neil Gaiman adaptation, based on the stories "Calliope" and "A Dream of a Thousand Cats". The latter is animated, and features a ridiculously stacked voice-over cast including Sandra Oh, James McAvoy, and David Tennant.
Both episodes are based on standalone stories from the comics. Melissanthi Mahut stars in "Calliope", a story about a captive muse trying to escape her tormentors, while "A Dream of a Thousand Cats" is set in the realm cats visit when they go to sleep at night. The animation looks stunning.
The Sandman bonus episodes are streaming now on Netflix.
